Milla Jovovich - Jovovich & Osbourne Win Haiti Trip At Fundraiser

MILLA JOVOVICH and SHARON OSBOURNE are set to head to Haiti after bidding $25,000 (£16,600) at a charity auction to visit a school built after the devastating 2010 earthquake. The Artists for Peace and Justice organisation, which has Ben Stiller, moviemaker Paul Haggis and Olivia Wilde on the board of directors, has helped raise funds for the nation in the wake of last year's (10) disaster.

Volunteers have worked tirelessly to build a school in Haiti, and the charity bosses donated a trip to the site as part of a fundraiser in Los Angeles on Thursday (Jan 13, 2011). Producer Ryan Kavanaugh teamed up with organisers to offer a flight on his plane to anyone who bid $25,000 for the trip - and the elite audience flocked to win the prize. Five people offered up the cash for the trip, including Jovovich and Osbourne, reports the New York Daily News. Haggis was also honoured for his dedicated work for the organisation at the benefit.

Milla donates Jovovich-Hawk dress to RM Cancer Campaign

According to RoyalMarsden.org, Milla Jovovich has donated a Jovovich-Hawk Spring 2008 RTW dress to the Royal Marsden Cancer Campaign for an auction benefiting the organization. More from the source:

Description:
Jovovich-Hawk white ‘Mina’ halter maxi dress donated by one of the label’s creators, Milla Jovovich, to The Royal Marsden Cancer Campaign. The winning bidder will also receive a Resident Evil poster signed by Milla.

Featured in the Jovovich-Hawk Spring 2008 ready-to-wear collection and shown in the likes of Elle magazine, this dress is the essence of ethereal style. It is a cotton and silk blend with full silk lining and features a scoop neckline accented with a sweet flowing silk overlay. The dress ties behind the neck and is curve hugging over the hips, flowing out gracefully at the bottom for a super-feminine silhouette.

More coverage from the Tommy Hilfiger BHI bag madrid launch

Big, big update from last Thursday’s Tommy Hilfiger Breast Health International Limited Edition Bag Madrid Launch today!

First off, we have a few reports from the event. Interesting report #1 from ThinkSpain.com:

Actress and model Milla Jovovich presented the latest Tommy Hilfiger handbag in Madrid this week, the sales of which will fund cancer care. Having lost some female friends to the disease, it is a cause very close to Milla’s heart.

The Ukraine-born star is taking a couple of years off from her fast-paced career to care for the her daughter, Ever, two-and-a-half, after finishing filming her latest movie, Dirty Girl, with Juno Temple and William H. Macy and the next one she has lined up, the thriller Faces in the Crowd, which will be ready by July. She has already filmed Resident Evil: Afterlife, the fourth in the saga, which will be in the cinemas in September. [...] And in October, her recent work, Stone, in which she co-stars with Robert de Niro and Edward Norton, will be premiered. “It’s been a crazy year,” Milla told reporters in Madrid.

milla at paul haggis & artists for peace private haiti fundraiser

First public appearance of the year! Well, close enough, anyway.

Last night, Milla Jovovich tweeted about having attended yesterday the Artists for Peace & Justice Private Haiti Fundraiser at writer-director Paul Haggis’ home in Santa Monica, CA:

hey every1! went to a great fundraiser today for haiti relief efforts. it was wonderful, we got to speak to ppl on the ground there on skype

go to www.artistsforpeaceandjustice.com to find out more and donate to help ppl on the ground there right now!

Today, we’ve been able to update the gallery with our first four hi-res photos of Milla (looking incredibly chic and stylish, might I add) and director-husband Paul W.S. Anderson leaving the private event in Santa Monica. Unfortunately, this celebrity event, which according to GossipCenter.com was also attended by such people as Javier Bardem, Penélope Cruz, Demi Moore and Pierce Brosnan, having indeed been for invited guests only, it is unlikely we’ll be able to find photos from inside the venue, and you should only expect very minimal media coverage. Sorry!
