Some news tidbits via Milla Jovovich’s verified Twitter account at @MillaJovovich, compiled from some of Milla’s recently tweeted responses to fan questions. Beginning with…

… Resident Evil 5, Milla’s husband Paul W.S. Anderson is apparently working on a script for the film right now. This doesn’t mean the film will happen, of course, but it does mean that it is a very real possibility.

HELL YEA there will b a nxt 1! Lol! (Feb 11)

paul told me a synopsis of the next RE movie and its SO COOL! its just such an grt concept, its gonna take RE 2 a new level! (Feb 15)

Moving on to Vykrutasy, Milla says the DVD for the film will come with (presumably English) subtitles! Hooray!

“vikrutasi” loosely means people who are getting out of a tangled situation. (Feb 15)

it will come out w sub titles! (Feb 15)

If you have an ounce of culture in your bones, you’ll know of Maynard James Keenan, frontman for the most excellent bands Tool, A Perfect Circle and Puscifer. But did you know that he is an accomplished vineyard owner and wine maker?

A new documentary, Blood Into Wine, follows Maynard and his partner Eric Glomski into their world of rock and roll and wine and cheese. We see wacky shit with rock types all the time, like Tommy Lee going to school, but this is the real deal; Maynard is legit.

The film also features appearances from some of Maynard’s famous friends including Bob Odenkirk, Patton Oswalt and Milla Jovovich. Head on over to the film’s official site, and watch the trailer now. The film premieres in Scottsdale, Arizona in February; no word yet on a further release, but I for one am really interested in seeing it.

Well, that’s a wrap! Wherever you are, we hope everyone was able to tune in to Milla Jovovich performing live online with her friends Chris Brenner, Danny Lohner and Alkaline Trio’s Matt Skiba. The roughly hour-long performance on ended just moments ago, and here’s our coverage of it to those who missed it.

Although the performance started nearly 50 minutes late, at roughly 5:50 PM EST, it was well worth the wait. Spontaneous, inspired, warm, even a little improvised, Milla and friends performed the following set of songs for our hearing pleasure:

1. “Gentleman Who Fell” (remix) – from Milla’s 1994 debut album, The Divine Comedy
2. “The Mission” – Milla’s 2009 collaboration with Maynard James Keenan’s band, Puscifer
3. “Lazy Orbit” – an unreleased “demo” Milla herself has published on her official site

The three-song set was followed by some inspired jamming from Milla and Matt Skiba, after which they threw an “encore performance” of all three aforementioned songs, before finally calling it a day, music-wise (she’s actually right now doing a live, post-concert video chat with her fans via!).

Blood Into Wine will have its World Premiere at the W Hotel in Scottsdale, Arizona in the States on February 19 2010. Tickets to the event are available via As of yet, we have no word on whether or not Milla is expected to show.

Rock band pushes the envelope with unique show.

What is a Puscifer? The predominantly young audience entering the Capitol Theatre on Wednesday didn't know quite to expect from Puscifer, the side project of Maynard James Keenan, the mysterious frontman of multi-platinum metal band Tool.

What they saw was a unique theatrical experience that befuddled as much as entertained the audience, as humor and hard rock battled for the spotlight in what ended up to be a satisfying musical adventure that challenged our preconceptions of what to expect from a rock show.
